BIDDING OPENS 21 MAY AT 1:00 P.M. EDT

RM Sotheby’s is delighted to announce its forthcoming time-based auction, Online Only: Driving into Summer, a time-based online sale set to open for bidding at 1:00 pm EDT on Thursday, 21 May with staggered closure on lots, now closing over two days due to consignor interest, beginning at 11:00 am EDT on 28 May and continuing 29 May. The auction will include more than 150 high-quality motor cars and a selection of automobilia spanning a multitude of segments of the market. Demonstrating great success since its introduction into the industry in October 2019, RM’s Online Only platform provides consignors and bidders a proprietary platform that allows for faster transactions to take place while still harnessing the level of service and reach associated with the RM Sotheby’s brand.

Building on the success of the recent Online Only: Palm Beach auction—which saw results of over $14 million, and a sell-through rate just above 70%—the Driving into Summer auction launches RM Sotheby’s first consignment-based Online Only collector car auction via rmsothebys.com.

Each car will be presented with comprehensive photography as well as condition reports completed by RM Sotheby’s Car Specialists. Where available, additional information on each lot—such as history files, production certificates, restoration documentation, service invoices, owner’s manuals, and accompanying parts—can be viewed online once you have created an account and/or have logged in by clicking the “View Files” button on the individual lot page.

LOTS BEGIN TO CLOSE: THURSDAY, 28 MAY, 11:00 A.M. EDT & FRIDAY, 29 MAY, 11:00 A.M. EDT

Bidder registration is now open for Online Only: Driving into Summer and only takes a few simple steps to complete. Should you need assistance, our Client Service team is ready and able to walk you through any part of the registration process. The auction lots will start closing at 11:00 am EDT on 28 May and continuing 29 May, and each lot will close in five-minute increments in the order of lots presented. Please note there is an ‘anti-sniping’ feature whereby if a bid is placed in the final two minutes of the auction close, the auction will automatically extend for an additional two minutes to allow for the previous high bidder to bid.

Please see the website for how to bid online.
