Iconic Auctioneers are delighted to be back for our 14th year as the official auction partner to the Silverstone Festival. The Collectors' and Competition Car Sales at Silverstone Festival are the jewel in our auction calendar where historically many an auction record has been achieved.

Our home for the weekend is Halls 1 & 2 in The Wing building where all the lots will be on display for you to enjoy. There will be a Motorcycle Sale at 10am on Saturday 24th August followed by as Competition Car Sale at 11.30am and a Collectors’ Car Sale from 1pm. The Automobilia Sale will be on Sunday 25th August from 11am.

Our team are passionate about seeking out the finest cars and collectibles and connecting them with our global database of buyers from around the world, achieving numerous auction records on behalf of vendors.

2023’s auction brought the much-storied Lost and Found Collection, the ultimate barn find of 20 Ferraris lost to time, including the 1954 Ferrari Mondial Spider Series I by Pinin Farina, which as the second Mondial ever made, even in its stripped-down and fire-stricken condition, made waves in the automotive circles and press when it earned 1.875 million at auction.

Entries are now closed for our first sale of 2024, a two-day auction at the Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration Show, at the NEC, Birmingham on 23rd – 24th March. In person viewing is available at the venue from 10am on Friday 22nd March and 9am on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th where our team of specialists will be on hand to answer any queries. 21/28th Feb 2024 - RM Sotheby's - British Classics Online

This unique sale showcases some of the best in British automotive manufacturing, with two of the world’s most prestigious marques, Rolls-Royce and Bentley, both at the forefront of the collection. The legend of Rolls-Royce was defined by the Silver Ghost, which evolved into the legendary Phantom series, and two wonderful examples of the Phantom series are offered as part of this auction, including a fascinating Phantom I Riviera Town Car by J.S. Inskip.

Rolls-Royce’s biggest competitor came in the form of W.O. Bentley, with the most famous of all Bentleys, the 4½-Litre Supercharged, better known as the ‘Blower Bentley’, being the most iconic. With just 50 production examples made in period, these remarkable cars are hugely collectible and rare, so a number of 4-½-Litre cars have been upgraded to Supercharged specification, and this collection features an upgraded 4-½ Litre ‘Supercharged specification’, along with two project 4-½ Litres.

Post-war Britain gave the opportunity to several new marques to appear, including the Donald Healey Motor Company. Healey was a genius at producing cost-effective but very capable sports cars, notably working through a few engineering partnerships before the launch of the hugely popular Austin-Healey. The Austin-Healey punched far above its weight in competition and sales and is still much loved by enthusiasts. Two examples of the 3000 model are offered in the British Classics Online auction.
